Charge_iN by Mahindra to Deploy EV Charging Stations Across HPCL Fuel Network

EV charging stations

Mumbai: Charge_iN by Mahindra has entered into a strategic partnership with Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited (HPCL) to significantly expand EV charging stations across India by leveraging HPCL’s extensive fuel station network.

The collaboration aims to accelerate the development of a nationwide network of EV charging stations, enhancing accessibility and convenience for electric vehicle users.

Under this agreement, Charge_iN by Mahindra will utilize HPCL’s vast retail footprint to deploy EV charging stations at fuel outlets across the country.

The initiative is expected to strengthen India’s electric mobility ecosystem while improving the overall user experience and encouraging faster EV adoption.

HPCL, one of India’s largest state-owned oil and gas companies, operates more than 24,400 retail outlets nationwide and already manages over 5,400 EV charging stations under its HP e-Charge brand.

This extensive infrastructure provides a strong foundation for scaling up EV charging stations rapidly and efficiently across urban and highway locations.

The partnership comes at a critical time as India accelerates its transition toward sustainable mobility.

By integrating Charge_iN by Mahindra’s technology and infrastructure capabilities with HPCL’s widespread network, the companies aim to create a seamless and accessible network of EV charging stations across the country.

Charge_iN by Mahindra, as part of its broader vision to promote electric mobility, is focused on building an ultrafast charging network aligned with the Government of India’s push for robust public EV infrastructure.

As part of this initiative, the deployed EV charging stations will feature advanced 180 kW dual-gun fast chargers designed to significantly reduce charging time and improve convenience for electric four-wheelers.

These high-capacity chargers are expected to enhance charging efficiency and support the growing demand for EV charging stations as more consumers transition to electric vehicles.

The deployment of such infrastructure will play a crucial role in addressing range anxiety and improving confidence among EV users.

The collaboration with HPCL marks a significant milestone in Charge_iN by Mahindra’s efforts to build a comprehensive EV ecosystem in India.

By expanding access to reliable and fast charging stations, the initiative aims to contribute to the country’s broader sustainability goals and facilitate the adoption of clean transportation solutions.

As India continues to evolve as one of the world’s largest automotive markets, the expansion of EV charging stations through partnerships like this is expected to play a key role in shaping the future of mobility and driving the transition toward greener transportation.
